Patients Registration

Patients who have not registered at KIMS ALSHIFA will find a slip with a few basic data to be filled. The slip can be found at every front office desk. Those who cannot fill it by themselves can take help from the front office Executive. After registration a token (printed slip) given to the patient for consulting doctor and the patient is guided to the concerned OPD. The room number of the OPD is mentioned in the Token Slip. The slip is given to the concerned nursing assistant in that OPD and patient is called based on their turn. International Patients will be given support from the IPR section located near the OP reception and the IPR executive is accompanied the International patient to the concerned doctors/services. MR number is generated after registration of a patient. This number will be used for patient recognition in the hospital (UHID). The patient is advised not to lose the card. Adhar card or any other valid authorised ID card is preferable for a patient while admission/ registration. Those patients who already having MR number can book OP consultation through phone or whatsApp number. Those who are coming for the first time in KIMS Alshifa can book the OP consultation through phone and after coming to the hospital registration can be done and consultation thereafter. Patients who are not booked in prior can come as a ‘Walk In’ patient and at front office; guidance will be given about time to be awaited as there is booked patient are present, and they will be given priority.

Visitors and Family

Visiting time is set for 4 PM to 8 PM for all rooms. And in the ICU’s only one person is allowed to see the patient. This is to avoid any infections to ICU patients.

Dining Facilities

Restaurant of KIMS Alshifa is located at basement for patients & public. 24 hours live cafeteria is present in front of Emergency Department. A gift shop cum cafeteria (only in day time) present near Ortho reception.

Information for IN- Patients/ Bystanders

• Only one bystander is allowed to stay with the patient
• Children below 12 years will not be allowed to visit patient
• Food from outside is not allowed in the hospital
• Food recommended by our Doctors / Dietician will be served to the patient from the F&B Department
• Room service is present from F & B Department.

Infection Control Guidelines

• Wash hands before and after patient contact
• Wear gloves and mask, whenever necessary
• Avoid visiting patients if you are sick or if have an open wound
• Always keep the door closed
• Avoid handling any instrument/surface that have been in contact with blood or body fluid.
• No medication from outside should be taken into patient rooms. Owm medications should be intimated to the treating doctor at the time of initial assessment.
• All household items [ Pillow, bed spread, etc] will be provided

Safety Guidelines

• Maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise
• Entire hospital and premises are strictly non-smoking area
• Please don’t open the windows in AC rooms
• Don’t permit children into balconies
• Familiarize with the locations of FIRE Exits which are clearly marked
• Floor plans and Direction boards are displayed at prominent location. Please familiarize with them
• Follow the directions of staff in case a CODE RED is announced over the Hospital Public Address System
